In order to provide answers to questions which are not fully explained on our web page, we have compiled the following list of frequently asked questions. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact our customer consultants.
What languages can I contact you in?
In our German managed enterprise there are three official languages of business correspondence: German, English and Spanish.
Do you also offer translation services of official documents (marriage certificates, testimonials, testaments, etc.)?
Yes. We do accept orders which require a sworn translator.
Do you grant a discount in case of repetition of text passages?
Yes. Please point out such parts of the text when ordering a translation (or other type of work). By doing so we can consider this circumstance and calculate your personal quote.
Do the listed prices include value-added tax?
Yes. All prices are net prices and include VAT.
Do you offer the written copy /translation of tapes?
Yes. Just send us a specification and sample of your audio file and ask for a quote. Fees depend on the source and target language, on the degree of difficulty and on the length of the file /tape.
Is it also possible to send documents via Fax or the post?
Yes, but since our world-wide communication network is based on paper-free electronic data transmission, we would have to scan those texts ourselves. If you want to use this service, we charge 39,00 EUR per hour.
To what extent is the supply of auxiliary materials (glossaries, etc.) necessary?
To reach results of the highest quality we need all possible additional information, comparison texts or other aids that can contribute to an overall view, especially in the case of specific technical translations /copy editing. We recommend that you offer existing material which we might request if necessary, after consultation with the responsible technical translator.
The original text is badly formulated and has errors. Will the text of the target language exhibit the same characteristics?
If you wish the text of the target language to be written in a certain style, different from the text of the source language, please consider the possibility of the offered editorial office. This way, when the revision of the output text is finished, we transmit the text to a responsible translator who is now able to translate your "new" text appropriately. Not taking this step, the text of the target language will have similar inadequacies to the output text.
